What's
Included:
All hotel accommodations including all taxes. All breakfasts, meals as detailed
on itineraries, with wine chosen by Wine Escapes. All scheduled: wine tours,
tastings and museums. A one-time group pick-up on day of arrival and a one-time
group drop-off on day of departure to or from designated airport. Baggage
transport. Ground transportation via private coach/van and only during Wine
Escapes scheduled activities. All gratuities for baggage and porters at
hotels. All itinerary items are subject to change.
What's Not Included: All airfare and airport taxes, including all
local air fare during your Wine Escapes vacation; any expenses not specified
in the itinerary, such as telephone calls, fax, laundry, personal items
and sundries, individual purchases, tour cancellation/health insurance,
additional food and drink, including personally ordered wines- even if consumed
in place of provisions provided on the tour, services or meals other than
those specifically mentioned in the itinerary, gratuities to airport personnel
and the coach driver.
Accommodations: Stays are in 3 or 4 star hotels based on the visiting
country's rating system, based on double or twin bed accommodations, all
with private bath (toilet, shower and/or tub).
Prices: Prices are current at time of printing and subject to change
without notice. Prices are guaranteed 90 days from departure. Prices are
in Canadian currency and are per person, based on double occupancy.
Price Increases: Prices are subject to change at any time due to
exchange rates or other factors, and are not guaranteed until 90 days before
departure. Should the cost of your trip increase by over 7%, you have the
right to cancel your trip and obtain a full refund. A single supplement
is charged to a client requesting a private room throughout a tour, please
note that single rooms in Europe are often smaller, although they cost more
per person.
Trip Cancellation Insurance: Wine Escapes does not provide trip cancellation
insurance, however, Wine Escapes strongly suggests the client purchase trip
cancellation insurance.
Reservations/Deposit: To reserve your Wine Escapes tour, we require a non-refundable
deposit of $500 per person. The balance of your payment is due 60 days prior
to departure.
Payments: Should we not receive balance of payment 60 days prior
to departure your space on the tour is cancelled, and your non-refundable
deposit of $500 per person will be forfeited. We accept VISA, MasterCard,
American Express and personal cheques. Wine Escapes reserves the right to
decline a client, and the right to terminate a client's participation in
a tour, if deemed necessary.
Client cancellation: If written cancellation notice is received 90
days or more prior to trip departure: $500 deposit is forfeited; if written
cancellation notice is received less than 90 days but 60 days or more prior
to trip departure: $500 is forfeited; if written cancellation notice is
received less than 60 days prior to trip departure: 100% of tour price is
forfeited.
Wine Escapes cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel any tour at any
time for any reason, such as if there are too few participants (minimum
of 6), if the safety of our guests is in question, or the quality of our
tour is in question, or for any other reason. If this happens, we will attempt
to notify you at least 90 days before departure. All deposits and tour price
payments will be refunded. We do not recommend non-refundable, advance-purchase
air tickets, as we cannot assume responsibility for any loss incurred on
account of such tickets.
Eligibility: All Wine Escapes clients must be minimum 21 years of
age. Proof of age may be required.
Insurance: We highly recommend that you buy extended hospital/medical/dental
insurance to supplement your existing health insurance or benefits plan.
Should you choose not to purchase such extended coverage, all costs and
expenses relating to any hospital/medical/dental care or treatment shall
be your sole responsibility.
Health: By signing the Acknowledgement and Waiver and by making a
deposit, you certify that you do not have any physical condition of disability
that would create a hazard for you or other clients, and that you understand
that the health care standards of the visiting country may be different,
such as hospital availability. Some facilities, on Wine Escapes vacations,
do not have elevators or related services with which to gain access and
will not be accessible to some clients.
Customs and Immigration: Should any country refuse entry of a Wine
Escapes client, for any reason, Wine Escapes is not responsible and no refund
is applicable.
Travel Documentation: It is the client's responsibility to obtain,
at their own expense, all documentation and vaccinations required by all
relevant government authorities.
Standards: Living standards and practices outside of Canada and the
USA may be different. Examples of these are: sanitary conditions, hospital
availability, health and medical care, local accommodations, transportation,
electricity, food preparation and water quality. Wine Escapes shall not
be responsible for any claims, costs, damages, expenses, injuries or losses
resulting from these differences.
Dress: Dress attire is mostly casual, however, some dinners may require
semi-formal attire. Please refer to itineraries.
Smoking: Smoking is NOT permitted at ANY time the group is together.
Limitation of Liability & Release: Wine Escapes will not be responsible
for any physical or mental injury or loss (including property stolen, lost
or damaged) arising in connection with a client's participation in a Wine
Escapes vacation, however caused, unless caused by the reckless, wilful
or fraudulent conduct of Wine Escapes staff, even if caused by the negligence
of Wine Escapes, our employees, agents or independent contractors. Although
Wine Escapes makes every effort to ensure the agents we have chosen are
responsible agents, we are unable, and do not have, control over them, and
therefore cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions. The client
agrees not to bring or maintain any legal action against Wine Escapes, our
employees or agents or independent contractors in respect of any such injury,
loss or damage and release them from any such liability and any liability
in respect of claims made against the client as a result of the client's
actions on a tour. The client acknowledges and agrees that Wine Escapes
Inc., its directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, successors,
assigns and independent contractors, shall not be liable or responsible
for any claims, costs, damages, expenses, injuries or losses resulting from
any Act of God, any act of war or terrorism, or any other unforeseen incident
or circumstances. The contract and the relationship between the client and
Wine Escapes will be governed exclusively by Ontario law and will be binding
upon the client's successors and legal personal representatives. Any dispute
relating to the agreement or relationship between Wine Escapes and the client
or the tour will be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of
Ontario. |
