Day 1 - After meeting, we make our way to Dijon, the gateway
to Burgundy. We enjoy a wine and cheese reception at the hotel,
followed by some leisure time before our gastronomic welcome to
France at dinner tonight.
Day
2 - Our day starts tasting white wines made from the chardonnay
grape in the tiny wine town of Meursault, at Chateau de Meursault,
a glorious castle in the village. We enjoy lunching at a winery
and spend the afternoon strolling in Beaune. Dinner is on your own
tonight.
Day
3 - Today we savour two red wine tastings around the quaint
village of Nuits-Saint-Georges. We lunch on regional specialties
and spend some free time wandering Dijon. Dinner is on your own
tonight.
Day
4 - En route to Reims, the capital of Champagne, we spend the
day in Troyes. Lunch will include a tasting of andouillettes, local
sausage. Following lunch you will have time to visit one of their
magnificent Gothic churches, or perhaps shop in one of the local
fashion outlets. Dinner is on your own tonight.
Day
5 - The magic of Champagne is discovered today as we visit and
tour two Houses in Epernay, and actually go into caves. Lunch is
a delightful feast, commencing with Champagne! Dinner is on your
own tonight in Reims.
Day
6 - We start with a walking tour of Reims including the Cathédrale.
The rest of the day is yours to stroll and discover. Lunch is on
your own; dinner is a feast, bidding farewell to our tour.
Day
7 - Departure to Paris.
